You are the flesh of my ambitions,
in your body lies my sacred kingdom,
Soft as dandelions,
your pearly skin frolic in forgotten wisdom.
In those deep brown eyes
the wars of men find an eternal home.

The fragile radiance of your face
is the cradle of my children’s joy.
Silent as the dark skies,
in that smile you hide life in the ordinary.
In so many endless nights
your touch ends infinity of its burdens.

In the here and now, forever
is just a teardrop when we both feel weary!
Now, as I close my eyes and gaze
upon the shallow part of my being,
I see my emptiness, my hopes,
so spent, so fettered by my unbecoming.
